    Well Time:
Tufts University allows staff to convert up to eight (8) hours annually of their accrued sick time to well time in order to participate in wellness-related activities. For the purposes of this policy, a wellness-related activity is defined as a Health History Risk Assessment, Comprehensive Health Review, creating a plan with a Health Coach and/or participating in a Healthy Tufts sponsored wellness activity (i.e. lunch and learn, walking program), etc.
Well time hours are pro-rated for part-time employees and the use of well time should not result in overtime for hourly non-exempt staff or salaried non-exempt staff. Bonus days earned by hourly non-exempt staff for perfect or very good attendance will not be impacted by the use of well time. Well time will not cover instances of illness and/or injury. For those visits, sick time, not well time, will be used for urgent care or sick visits
For more information, please see the Tufts HR website and our Well Time list of Frequently Asked Questions.

All current employees of the four Tufts campuses, as well as their spouses/domestic partners, can visit.

    Commonly Prescribed Medications

Save money and a trip to the pharmacy. Depending on the medication prescribed at The Jumbo Health Center, you may be able to get your prescription filled directly from the Jumbo Health Center free of charge during a medical visit appointment.  Medications will not be prescribed over the phone.
Please note - The Jumbo Health Center is not a pharmacy and will only stock a limited number of medications for acute medical conditions. Some commonly prescribed medications include ones for strep throat, sinusitis and urinary tract infections.  Opioids and pain medications will not be dispensed.
For more information, call The Jumbo Health Center at 617-627-0467.

We are working on creating an online wellness calendar that will show the designated "Healthy Tufts" programs. In the meantime, the wellness activities that are included as Healthy Tufts sponsored activities for the fall include the Mindfulness series presented by The Jumbo Health Center and Leveraging Your Strengths seminar presented by AllOne Health EAP. In general, we include the Healthy Tufts logo on all of our promotional materials. If you have any questions whether or not a seminar/program is sponsored by Healthy Tufts please feel free to contact Jennifer directly.
